Terms of use

Diaspora Dating is operated by Limitless Prods, 3450 Saint Denis St, Unit #573, Montreal, QC H2X 3L3, Canada ("we"). By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms and our privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

The French and English versions of these terms are equally valid.

The service is in private beta: you join with an invitation code. A code is personal and works once. During the beta, features may be added, changed or removed, and the service may be interrupted. Your feedback helps us improve it.

To use the service, you must:

• be 18 or over, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher;
• be able to enter into a contract and not have been banned from the service;
• not have been convicted of a sexual or violent offence;
• have only one account, in your own name, with accurate information.

Your phone number is your sign-in handle and your email address is how you recover your account: keep both up to date. Keep your password secret; you are responsible for what happens with your account. If you think someone else has access, change your password and let us know.

Diaspora Dating must stay safe and respectful. You may not:

• ask for or send money, gifts, cryptocurrency or "investments", or run any kind of scam;
• harass, threaten, insult or discriminate, or use hateful language;
• send sexual content to someone who did not ask for it, or share intimate images of anyone without their consent;
• post anything involving a minor; we report such content to the authorities;
• pretend to be someone else, create a fake profile, or use another person's photos;
• advertise, offer paid sexual services, or send spam;
• share a member's private information, including screenshots of your conversations, without their consent;
• use bots, scrape the service, or get around its security measures;
• post illegal content or content that infringes anyone's rights.

You keep ownership of what you post (photos, text, voice notes). You only give us the right to host it, show it to the people you choose, and process it to run and secure the service. That right ends when you delete the content or your account, except for temporary backup copies, what other members have already received, and what the law requires us to keep.

You confirm you have the right to post your content. Profile photos may be reviewed by our team before they become visible.

You can report or block a member. We review reports and may remove content, restrict, suspend or close an account when these terms are broken or to protect someone. We will explain the action taken, unless doing so would put someone at risk or the law forbids it. You can challenge it by writing to us.

We do not run background checks on members. Selfie verification reduces the risk of fake profiles but does not remove it. Stay careful:

• never send money to someone you met online, whatever the story;
• for a first meeting, pick a public place and tell someone close to you;
• report any suspicious behaviour to us.

You are responsible for your interactions and meetings with other members, online and in person.

What you share in a common space (messages, calendar, lists, memories) is visible to the people in that space. Only invite people you trust. If you leave a common space, what you already shared there may remain visible to its other members.

Premium is not on sale yet. When it is, the price, taxes, duration and renewal terms will be shown clearly before any payment:

• by card (Stripe), the subscription renews automatically until you cancel it; access continues until the end of the paid period;
• by Mobile Money (Chariow), the pass is prepaid and does not renew.

Your consumer rights apply, including the cancellation and refund rights provided by the law where you live.

The AI coach generates answers automatically. They may be inaccurate or unsuited to your situation, and they do not replace advice from a professional (health, psychology, law). If you are in danger or facing violence, contact your country's emergency services. Do not give the coach sensitive information about other people.

The Diaspora Dating name, logo, design, text and code belong to Limitless Prods. You may not copy or reuse them without our permission.

We do our best to keep the service available, reliable and safe, but we cannot guarantee it will always be free of interruptions or errors, especially during the beta. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for how members behave, online or offline.

Nothing in these terms limits our liability for intentional or gross fault, or for bodily or moral injury caused by our fault, nor the rights consumer protection laws give you, including Quebec's Consumer Protection Act and the laws of your country of residence.

You can close your account at any time by writing to sales@limitlessprods.com from your account's email address, until the option arrives in settings. We may close an account that breaks these terms. Deletion of your information follows our privacy policy.

We may change these terms as the service evolves. For any significant change, we will send you the new version, by email or in the app, at least 30 days before it takes effect. If you refuse the change, you can close your account at no cost before that date.

These terms are governed by the laws of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. If we disagree, write to us first: most problems are solved that way. Otherwise, the courts of the district of Montreal have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to go to the courts where you live and the benefit of your country's mandatory rules.
